YouTube Now Showing Full Length Films and TV Shows

Maybe in an effort to compete with the likes of Hulu.com and Network TV sites, YouTube is beginning to show select full length films and TV content. Granted, much of it is old (original Outer Limits, anyone?) and some has to be in the public domain, but this is a huge indicator of what is coming in the near future. It won't be long before any and all shows from the past and present will be available online, which will act as one giant VOD (Video On Demand) network. It might not be controlled by one entity, but it will all be out there, complete with embedded commercials to keep it free.

This fits in with my belief that it won't be long before every new TV comes with an Ethernet port, allowing you to plug your TV into the web, much like you now plug it into a satellite reciever or cable line. Simply put, the web is just another delivery device for video and it's only a matter of time before anyone can tap into it.
