There’s no place like home.

Lately I have been noticing more and more websites eliminating the home link from their navigation all together. Is this where websites are headed? Has the user evolved to just know to click the logo to return home? I know that most tech savvy people wouldn't miss it, but what about everyone else. I would guess most people look to the main navigation to move about a website. Personally I don't think we are to the point where we can just remove the home link. I feel like if we just assume the user knows to click the logo to return home we run the risk of losing certain users within the site. When designing a navigation is is important to keep accessibility in mind. Just imagine how a 90 year old woman would use the site and design accordingly.
