Mobile Phone Favorite List

Form hitting the pavement to a few near falls from the chairlift, my Treo has seen more than its fair share. The dawn of mobile computing, ah yes. Soon we will have all mobile devices doing more that we could imagine, docking at the end of the day with external hard drives, robust docking stations and enormous monitors. Hopefully in conjunction, we can connect these devices to our Segway Personal Transporter (or the new more military version here) only to key in our destination.

So, in an effort to keep up with our ongoing pursuit of making things smaller, more mobile and entailing less work (and sometimes thought). I wanted to share my top 10 mobile favorite list. Some are useful, but all are great examples of XHTML Mobile Profile 1.0 or 1.1 in action.

  1. m.facebook.com - Facebook's trend setting extremely functional mobile interface
  2. m.amazon.com - Amazon's mobile version, with nearly all the functionality of the live site
  3. m.flickr.com - Peruse the photos, wasting nearly as much time as the desktop version
  4. m.google.com - Search, movies, gmail, news...
  5. www.google.com/reader/m/view - accessible via m.google.com, but worth mentioning again - great RSS Reader
  6. slashdot.org/palm - So slashdot is a little bias to Palm, fine with me! Geek news abound!
  7. wapedia.mobi/en -Support those never ending arguments on the go
  8. m.engadget.com - great interface to a great site
  9. www.imdb.com - all the movie triva one could want (also helpful in supporting those arguments!)
  10. m.cnn.com - lack of mobile nytimes.com, equals cnn for the short term

That's all for now.

Where are you surfing while mobile?
