The Internet Made Me Do It

Don't believe everything you hear on TV, the radio, and the internet. Isn't that something they teach in school. It's amazing how much entitlement some people get from the internet. I read a news clipping recently about a man in southern Oregon who was cleaned out by a bunch of morons wielding printouts of a Craig's List posting.

It all began with a Craig's List posting which stated a man in a small town in southern Oregon was moving out of the country and everything on his property (including his horse) was free for the taking. In all reality the aforementioned man was not moving out of the country, and he was not the one who posted the listing. I'm sure the posting was a joke played by one of his hillbilly friends who thought everyone would get a good chuckle out of it.

Unfortunately this turned into much more that just a harmless little prank when masses of people started to log onto Craig's list, print out the listing, and drive to this quiet little town. These people then proceeded to take everything that was and wasn't tied down. Luckily for this man there was a woman who saw the posting and thought there was something fishy about it. She then called the man and asked him if everything on his property was, in fact, free for the taking. He was confused, and rushed home to see what was going on. On his way home he spotted a pickup truck loaded down with his property. He was able to flag them down and explained to them that someone was playing a joke on him, and he was not moving out of the country and his stuff was not free for the taking. The men in the truck then pulled out the printout of the posting, as if it were a badge, and drove off with his stuff. When he got home he encountered many more people who who also whipped out their printout and took his property.

I can't believe there are people out there that think that a printout of an internet posting has the authority to do whatever they want. It's just crazy!

In conclusion I just wanted to let everyone know that LunaWebs is packing up and moving out of the country, and everything in our offices if free for the taking. So go ahead print this out, and come on down. We'll be waiting for you. Give me a break!!!
